Living in the midst of Sheepshaggers!
So it’s 3:16am and once again I’m up late and going bonkers. Sure I am dealing with Insomnia I don’t know why I can’t motivate myself to sleep earlier, but I also have another reason. In fact I did go to bed, I think I was there for about an hour, however to no avail I couldn’t sleep. Why you may ask… well I have Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum living directly upstairs to my apartment who drive me bloody barmy!
I have tried to figure out the comings and goings of that apartment, and it sure beats me, what these people are about. They come home strange hours in the night, so I thought, hhmm maybe they’re some kind of nightclub people or late night restaurant workers or some funny business! They don’t seem to be up early, as they’re watching TV right now even as I write this; the main reason why I can’t get a wink.
The temperature is getting high, my air-con is registering 30, and I’m in my apartment with the windows closed. My air-con isn’t working so well, however it’s certainly doing well as a noise buffer. But I’m sure to wake up in the morning all sweaty and probably pissed off. I wish I could leave it open, but then again it’s not like there’s a breeze, seeing that my building is sandwiched by other buildings and I’m honored to have such views.
Anyway my anger these days is really going bananas, luckily for others it’s an inside anger, but it’s seriously unlucky for me. I feel that I’m a ticking time bomb these days that’s just looking for an excuse to vent. I seem to understand the frustration that some people go through, but don’t worry I’m no U.S. postal worker, and besides I wouldn’t have a clue how to get my hands on a gun!
I was motivated one night to head down to the police station to file a report, as I have knocked on their door upstairs but nothing ever happens…but before I could go and I had to think of what to say in Korean. Luckily a friend was online and wrote what I needed to say. So off I went with my iBook in hand, (the police station is a five minute walk) I got to the station and tried to open the door, the lights were on there were cars outside but nobody insight. Which is bang out of order! L
But at that point I realized, what if… what if I needed the police for a more serious or harmful situation, I’m totally buggered? I can’t call 911, what would I say… They would simply say “No English” and that’s that, or would they??? It’s a frightening thought, I looked on the Internet when I got home, sure there were English numbers but in Seoul and it didn’t list if it was an emergency number or if it was 24hrs. By this time the noisy twits were having a bit of a hanky panky, I could hear her moaning and I could even hear the rhythm, I wanted to scream out “Bali, Bali” which means “faster, faster”!
Anyway I once again confirmed to my boss today that I would not be staying longer than that of my contract. So I figure I have until the end of August and I’m outta here. I will miss my apartment for it’s space, but that’s it! Well I’m going to try sleeping again, wish me luck!
Microscopic brained nitwits!

Happy Birthday to you; Squashed tomatoes and stew; You look like a monkey; And you act like one too!
Happy Birthday To you!
For those of you who don't know who Jasmeet is, and what she means to me, here goes
She's the greatest friend a girl could ever have especially when in high school. There are numerous memories that we both share and still laugh about today! Jas, is outgoing and bubbly that will get you laughing if not dancing! She and I were in business at one time spending our breaks selling beaded jewellery that we made after school. But the best part about our little business was the shopping; ooh my mate loves to shop just like me. We would venture uptown finding places purely by accident, as I always love to have an adventure but I always assured Jas that I knew where I was going LOL
There were times that we bunked school (skipped classes) to go up to London, some of our favs were Convent Garden or that one shop by Tottenham Court Road where a DJ spun some wicked vibes in the basement of a hip-hop clothing store. Jas is creative and loves art as much as I do; she inspired me with her ideas and helped in many jams that I got into. If we weren't in London then were hanging around Southall especially in the college at their dayclubs..(Night clubs during the daytime) listening to Ragga mixed with Bhangra.
She came to Calgary to visit me, unfortunately it wasn't so great thanks to my idiot EX-Ryan, but instead she had fun hanging with my mum!!! ;p But cause of Jas, I was a free and a single gal that had her friend by her side.
We loved to dance; we practiced our moves to the likes of LL. Cool J with "Mama Said Knock You Out" or Salt 'n' Pepper with "Push It". And later when I visited Jas in 1994 she introduced me to Jungle at the club "Wag" in Leicester Square where we were fortunate to see and bump into General Levy "Incredible".
Anyway the silly cow (typical London talk) is my best mate, she makes me laugh and brightens everything with her smile. I feel bad for immigrating as I missed her terribly however we still have a special closeness that no amount of distance can ever change. She now lives with her husband, two children: Balraj and Rasna as well as her wonderful in-laws in Cippenham and is happier then she ever was.
I love you Jasmeet :)

The Thinker
Yay, it’s decision-making time again, Wahoo don’t you just love it when you have to make major decisions? Well every friggin year, I have to do such a thing. Some of my friends ask me why, why can I not just come home and things can be easier. Well I don’t know why I can’t go home, I’m just not into Canada or the UK at this point of my life.
So what’s the decision, you may ask. Well my contract is just about up at the college where I’m at, as it’s on a yearly basis here in Korea. I actually already handed my notice in, as I have to give 90 days notice. Anyway my boss was unhappy with my decision and has asked me to stay on with the college until the end of next semester, which will be February. Well this sounds like an okay thing to do.
Before I handed in my notice I asked if I could take four weeks off in August as I was told in the interview for this very job. They were curious as to why and I expressed that I want to take a course CELTA which is a four week program in numerous countries but I want to do it in Thailand. My boss agreed, however this has changed since I have handed in my notice. Now he has to check with Academic Affairs, who have no idea about who the hell I am, as they’re also the same people who set up my horrid apartment that I posted about earlier.
So now what????? To stand firm on my resignation do the course in August…or do it after I quit in September…continue with the school until Feb as its financially secure and less stress… whahh! Decisions, decisions!!! Also, if I do stay until Feb I can do the DELTA! ARGH!!!! Or I could make life easier and just get another job without the studying, why study, better job, better contract, better money and not trapped in Korea!
Also the CELTA is one month in Bangkok (my choice), and the DELTA a two-month course offered in the UK.
